Trendmasters

As with the figures the ships that trendmasters realeased were loosely based on the original designs. The Cylon raider still looks pretty cool and even more menacing in black but the Viper now looks to small.

Colonial Viper Colonial Viper

Trendmasters Colonial Viper

I finally got a viper, and what a disapointment it was. The ship is based on the original but is much to small and weedy looking. The sound effects for this ship are the same as the ones used on the Independance day ships. I don't know what else to say as I really don't like it. Copyright Trendmasters 1996.

Colonial Viper Cylon Raider

Trendmasters Cylon Raider

Again, the vehicles have been given a more up to date look but still retain many of the original features. Each vehicle can make three sounds from the original show. The only thing I don't like about the ships is the big red bits they have put on the missiles, I know there are some kids out there who need this kind of warning, but it makes the ships look so silly. Maybe they don't want the same problem Mattel had! Copyright Trendmasters 1996.

Joyride Studios

Joyride studios have now started to create a line of figures and ships based on the Original series. The first wave of these features a Cylon Centurion, Cylon Raider, and Colonial Viper. Both Ships and vehicles come on the same backing cards.

Cylon Raider

Cylon Raider

The Cylon Raider is a really nice sculpt, it comes with two tiny cylon figures that you can place in the cockpit. There is already a third Cylon in the cockpit that you can't remove. The raider comes with a display stand. The only thing I don't like about this ship is that the cockpit feels like it would be very easy to break, but I guess they are really only ment for display, not to play with. Colonial Viper

Colonial Viper

The viper is also really nice. It comes with a pilot, stand and detachable landing gear. They have put a nice lot of detail in these ships. The paint job is good, although a little dark (you can't see this in my photo), and a bit green. Copyright 2004 Joyride Studios.

Colonial Viper - Blue Squadron

Colonial Viper - Blue Squadron

Another repaint of the Viper. This one is much lighter than the first, but lacks the battle damage detail they put on the silver spar sqaudron version. Copyright 2005 Joyride Studios.

Cylon Stealth Raider

Cylon Stealth Raider

Series three of the Joyride line sees them starting to get a bit stuck for Ideas. This is just a repaint of the raider into the colours that Mattel used for their Raider back in 1978. And I would have to say the Mattel one is better. When buying this I saw a couple that were already broken still inside there boxes, so be careful. These could have been so much better if they had used higher quality materials. Comes with two very small cylon pilots, and a third gold one that is fixed in the ship. Colonial Viper - Silver Spar Squadron

Colonial Viper - Silver Spar Squadron

For series three they have repainted the viper, this time it looks so much better. There are many more detials added and it looks like it's seen plenty of action. It comes with a pilot, stand and detachable landing gear. They have put a nice lot of detail in these ships. Copyright 2005 Joyride Studios.

Konami

Konami in Japan have released a series of Candy toys based on the orignal show copyright 2005. The toys come in random boxes so you never know which one you are going to get. The set contains a Cylon Warrior, Cylon Commander, Cylon Basestar, Cylon Raider, Viper, Galactica, Atlantia, and Pegasus. The Atlantia, Pegasus and Cylon Commander are much harder to come by than the other figures. Although these are called candy toys you only get a very small amount of candy, most of the box is the toy.

Konami Box    Konami Raider

Cylon Raider

This is a great model. The detailing is very good considering it's so small. The ship comes with a stand. The Instruction for this figure can be found in the Instructions section.

Konami Box    Konami Basestar

Cylon Basestar

As far as I know this is the first time a Cylon Basestar has been made as a toy. Comes with a stand. Considering the size this is another great model. The Instruction for this figure can be found in the Instructions section.

Konami Box    Konami Viper

Colonial Viper

Another great model, with a nice paint job as well. It even has a small pilot in the cockpit. Comes with a stand. The Instruction for this figure can be found in the Instructions section.

Konami Box    Konami Viper

Battlestar Galactica

Considering the size of this it looks really good. It even says Galactica on the sides. Comes with a stand. The Instruction for this figure can be found in the Instructions section.

Hasbro Titanium Series

Hasbro have been producing die cast toys for the last couple of years, mainly for star wars, but have now created ships based on the old and new galactica. Currently there are only two ships from the 'classic' line of designs. The viper and Cylon Raider.

Colonial

Colonial Viper

Measuring about 7 cm long, these models are fairly basic and cheap looking. The paint job is badly done and the detail minimal to say the least. Over all I think the Konami candy toys are much much better. 2007 Hasbro.

Cylon Raider

Cylon Raider

The Cylon Raider actually looks a lot better then that Viper. The paint job is pretty nice and detailed. It's still not a patch on the Konai Toys, but is not bad if you can't find any of them. 2007 Hasbro.
